Come and join us for our "attendance" Sunday School party.
Brrrr!! It's cold in here, turn up the furnace so it's warmed up before the kids get here. We need to set up tables and chairs before they come.
The kids come bounding in the door full of energy. "What are we doing tonight?"
"You will have to wait and see."
"But we are going to eat supper first."
"What's for supper?"
"Nachos!!"
"Oh, Yum!!"
So we all sat down to eat supper - very hungry kids! "Can we have more nachos?"
"Sure, eat as much as you would like!"
"Anyone want a brownie before we do something else?"
"Ok, now let's clean up the tables so we can make something." We divide up into three groups: boys, big girls, and little girls.
Boys are making marshmallow guns. The big girls are making duck tape roses and the little girls are making duck tape bags.
What fun they are having and so creative. Before long there are marshmallows flying around with LOTS of giggles. The boys set up a target to see what they can hit. But there are times that they would rather shoot at the girls.
Then we would hear, "Oh gross! Can you get that sticky marshmallow out of my hair!!"
"We need to finish up because you all have school tomorrow."
"But can't we play a game?"
"Oh, we need to get these marshmallows swept up first."
Some starts picking up chairs and tables trying really hard not to step on marshmallows and some are sweeping to get the marshmallows picked up. At last the floor was clean enough to play a game.
We play a few rounds of "musical chairs," ate a few more brownies and gave out the three perfect attendance awards.
Then it was time to go home. What a fun-filled evening we had with nine of our regular Sunday school kids. In order to be able to come to an attendance party, they cannot miss more than three Sundays in the thirteen week chart.
We really appreciate those who make an effort to do this. Our attendance parties are a nice time to spend with them.
Do pray for our Sunday School families. The needs are great but we serve a Great God.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4
The 1st week of November we started another phase on the church. Twenty-five feet of concrete was poured in front of the church. Contractors were hired to do this so the cost has exceeded of what we had saved back for the concrete. Please, continue to join us in prayer as the work continues on the church - that the finances and laborers will be supplied. At this point we are uncertain of what the remaining cost will be.
